Social work for foreign workers in Singapore

We want to raise funds to do social work for foreign workers in Singapore.  For example, raise awareness on blood donation by foreign workers.  We have spoken to few Foreign workers and none of them are aware that blood donation is safe and that they might be eligible to donate blood.

We want to sponsor air tickets and arrange accommodation for foreign workers spouse and kids for a month for the foreign workers who are working for more than 7 years in Singapore. These foreign workers hardly spend time with their family. Usually they go back to their home town every 2-3 years for 2 months.  It will be a dream come true for foreign workers family, if they can come and spend a month in Singapore.   Also, the foreign workers will get the chance to have a family life in Singapore, though for a short while.

We will also encourage foreign workers to open a bank account in Singapore. We have spoken to few workers in shipyard, who still do not have a bank account.  We will contact bank to come up with attractive bank promotion for foreign workers.  We want to organise different recreational activities for foreign workers.  We want to educate them about the recreational facilities available in Singapore.

We also want to create a helpline for foreign workers in future, so they can consider us as their first friend in case of any need.  We will be working with different corporate in Singapore to come up with innovative solutions for the betterment of foreign workers.
